So I came back from creation, it was wonderful. Alauna drove down to my house for the 4th, and we spent a wonderful day together. I wish she didn't live so far away because when she leaves its I feel so lonely...

Anyways, I got my financial Aid packet (I let Alauna open it, cause I didn't want to see the bad news) BUT! it was a good news!! Fin Aid pulled through! I only have to come up with 6,000! w00t!! lol. So its not bad at all :-). So I am coming back to Moravian.

Jon and the Back Yard BBQ's Gig is on the 26th, I don't know how that will go, my FX Pedal is Fubar, so I have to figure something out, cause we need those FXs for the show.

My mom has gone to Buffalo NY for the week so I am stuck with out a car and the house seems really empty. I need to catch up on the sleep I lost at Creation, so I guess I shall find a little spot on my desk in my cubicle and take a nap. (lol)

Woah, see the sprite in the color explosion? Color is everywhere, and blended in a way that doesn't make your eyes sore. I love how the color wraps around the tree... And I love the contrast of the purple sky and the bright wisps of light circling around the scene. Ah, it's so pretty.

The sídhe, (IPA [ʃiː]) are a supernatural race in Irish mythology — quite distinct from humankind. There are a number of different types of sídhe: aes sídhe, banshee, warrior or daoine sídhe, leanan sídhe, sluagh, the fairy host or Wild Hunt, sídhe who can fly through the air and shift shape at will, sídhe who walk the earth at dusk, the guardian sídhe of the lakes of both Ireland and Scotland and many more.

Wicker Park:
WOW! talk about triangulated stalkage :-P this movie is really wierd and kind creepy. I thought it looked a lot better in the previews. The movie ends well though, kinda feel bad for some of the characters who either got screwed over. All in all it was an OK movie.
Rating: 5/10

Chronicals of Riddick:
HUGE improvement to Pitch Black. And it is true, you don't have to watch pitch black to really understand or like this movie. BTW, Vin Diesel is crazy, lol. There was a lot more action in this film, and I thought all in all it was a lot better than Pitch Black. The special effects where better too.
Rating: 8/10

Mr. and Mrs. Smith:
Awesome. Stick Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt together as to assassins lol. :-) It started out a bit slow, but the plot thickend as the movie progressed. I like how they mixed comedy with action. Def a must see. Oh, and remind me when I get married to have good communication with my wife :-P lol.

Peacful

It's so peacful out here, even though I am like 4 blocks away from a Wendy's. I went on a 30 min walk around my neighborhood. It's nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Nice to not think about school stresses, waking up early, other problems. Yes, I know avoiding problems is not a way to solve them. BUT, taking a hiatus from them once in a while is a good way of staying sane. I think I might take a nightly walk everynight. It calms you down, and its beautful out at night.

Movie Review: Manchurian Candidate

Wow. This movie is awesome! I love movie where I have no idea whats going on, and I can't wait to see what happens next. Washington is the man, Man on Fire was awesome, and his performance in the Manchurian Candidate was stellar. I'm not going to ruin any endings so... thats it :-).

Movie Reviews: A Catchup.

Y tu mama tambien (And your mom too):
Wonderfull movie. About 3 people going to "Heaven's Mouth" a beach located on the coast of Mexico. Getting past the sex in the movie, I thought it was very well done, and I could actually understand it, well partially thank God for subtitles :-P. Anyways

Assault on Precinct 13:
Ok, I thought this movie was going to be really good, even though it had Ja-Rule in it (he looks like a mouse... and his name is smilie?? wtf?) anyways, it also had Morpheus from the Matrix in it too! haha whats his name? oh well. The plot was ok, but it just didn't have what an action movie should have, it was missing something, don't know what though.

Team America | World Police:
Ok, I love this movie, it's hilarious, starting out with the destruction of paris. I think the funniest thing about it is how politically incorrect it is. The guys of South Park have done it agian, awesome job :-). And if you liked this kind of movie, you should watch Orgazmo! and Baseketball. lol. Same guys :-).

Pitch Black:
Ok, even though Vin Disel was a porn star, he is still jacked, and the man. haha. This movie was ok, I think they should have used his "see in the dark" powers more, wait did I just ruin that for you?? haha... oh well. The ending kinda sucked, but I won't ruin that.

In Good Company:
All in all a good movie, I thought it was a little long and some parts where boring. It has a good plot though. I would think that dating your dad's boss would be wierd. haha, yea... anyways good movie. and the guy from that 70's show is in it. No NOT Ashton Kutcher(sp? :-P)

My Mom just came back from the school board meeting. Her job just got cut in half. which means we don't have the money for Moravian next year. I need to file a request for more aid, but its so late that the money is already alotted to people for next semester.

I wish I could do something? Ever feel helpless... I really don't want to leave Moravian, I love it there and all the people. Community College just doesn't look the same, and I don't know how many times I have stressed that I want to graduate with my class from MORAVIAN.

There is always the Loan route. yeesh, I don't want to think about how in debt I will, but if it thats the only way I can come back next semester, I guess thats the way I shall have to go.

Looks like I am on an evening Job search too. This royally sucks. Being poor sucks. So much for happy fucking songs.

Well nothing really has happend latley other than Caitlin's big debut as a singer for Milf and Cookies at Banana Joe's on thursday night. That was awesome and props to her for doing so well! Her next concert is in Key West Florida! CRAZY!.

Its David's Bday, so we are throwing a big party for him at his house, that should be fun.

I am trying to figure out when, how, and who can come to NH to the B&B in Franconia. I think that would be a great gataway for all of us. :-)

Got new wheels for my skates, $60 wtf... lol. they feel really nice though :-).
which reminds me, I HATE taxes, Taxes took out $140 dollars from my freakin' pay check yesterday. And then to top it off, most of my pay check was gone due to bills and shit. blah. lol... at least I have a good paying job.

I talked for 2 hours tonight with Alauna. That was my first really long phone conversation in forever. I miss that kind conversation, I'm glad I found someone just to talk about anything too. lol at 12:00 AM. :-P She also got me through Exorcist. :-D

Geez

So I was looking through thefacebook and I was looking at profiles of people I used to Jam with when I was in High School. wow... I can't believe it. They all have thier own bands and thier own CDs out and have been traveling all around the philedlphia area playing gigs. Makes me want to form a band and go around the Lehigh Valley/Philly area and play my own. Maybe I just don' t have the motivation they do? or the Talent? I think I do have the talent, I just need band members. Its funny how I have a whole setup in my basement but only find 2-3 people jam with. Hmm... but will we ever get out of my basement is the Question. I don't really know if I want to, I don't think when school rolls around that I will have the time to be in a band other than just jamming in my basement. But for now, I'll take jamming, because I love it.

I'm such a friggin' computer geek

So I just spent the last hour and a half looking at video car specs and reviews. and I have changed my mind about Nvidia (for those who don't know, they make video cards, specifically the GeForce series) I have always been an ATI fan (ATI Radeons) but, I have read reviews and things, and since I am buying a new computer (mom's computer went, so that means she will "help" buy a new one because that means she can have my old one. lol) anyways.... since I am buying a new computer I have to go with the new nvidia GeForce 6600GT PC-X16, yes I am converting to nvidia, specifically because it spanks the ass of the Radeon 9800pro AGP (not just because its PCI-X) but its also a cheap card. :-) PCI-X is awesome btw, if you don't know what that means, you should read up on it. anyways, I am going to stop being a hardware freak and go to bed.

Latest Movies

Wow. I just finished a very good HBO series called Band of Brothers. Right now, I am kinda tired, so this entery will be short. All I can say is it took so much courage for what that 101st Airborne Div. Did... I can't even begin to think of the death, fighting, and disaster they experienced. I think the series really just began to scrath the surface of how horrific war is. Props to Tom Hanks, great direction. I watch "Primer" last night. I think the movie is only good if your a real hardcore geek. lol. otherwise, there are no special effects, no cool looking cinemtographt, just a straight story. I'm not going to give it away, but its really interesting. All I can say is, it doesn't take flashy digital effects to have a movie about time travel.

so those were the last movies in my Q for review (scale of 1-10 10 being excellent):

3. Exorcist: Beginning - Haven't watched it yet still trying to find someone to watch scary movies with because I am not going to watch them alone... hint hint SOMEONE should watch scary movies with me.... lol. ANYONE.

So I watched Fahrenheit 9/11...

A lot of people look at this movie as a quite contriversial film. And I can see why people have banned it, people have looked down upon it. I thought Bowling for Columbine was a better documentary. IMO this film was one sided, hugely biased. I know, wierd that I am saying that, but I think Michael Moore was trying to hard to notify people and get people to think his way. While I agree with almost everything he has in the movie and I am not a fan of bush by any means I think a few things in the movie really just grinded me the wronge way because of the way it was potrayed.

1. When the planes hit the buildings on 9/11 Moore specifically focused on who Bush sat and read to Children in a classroom for 7 min after he was told. Yes, that is a bit long and yes that might have been confusion, but what would YOU do? I mean if you were the president and you found out that the country was under attack and you were reading to little children, I wouldn't start freaking out. Although I would step out of the room to figure out what was going on...

2. They had a segment of a family who lost thier son to Iraq. Now I know this is a touchy subject, but this my opinion and you can think of me what ever or you can choose to not read on....
They had had her talk of her son, read a letter he had wrote them and talk about the phone call that her son had passed in the first black hawk attack. Now, I have to hand it to Moore, he really can tear the tears out of you, it was very emmotional, I mean I was alone watching this and I cried. (shut-up). But, I thought it was interesting that the woman said: "why take him God, he didn't do anything, why take him" and I thought to myself, well if he had taken someone else, the other mother who had lost her son/daughter would have said the same thing, "why my child?." Many of the soldiers over there arn't over there because they choose to be, and to be quite honest, I wouldn't choose to be over there either. You can blame bush all you want, but that doesn't bring your children home. It just makes you hate the government more.

3. The signing up of Senators/Rep's children for the war. Now that was kinda stupid, it just pisses people off. You know that they arn't going to sign their children up for the service for Iraq.

Well enough about the bad stuff, somethings I did like:

I liked how he showed that many of the poor communities around the country are being recruited for the service. Quote: "The very people forced to live in the worst towns, go to the worse schools are always the first to step up to defend that very system. They serve, so that we don't have to. They offer to give up thier lives so that we can be free. It is remarkalbe thier gift to us. And all they ask of us is to not send them into harms way, until it is neccessary. Will they ever trust us again?"

All in all it was a good movie. It kept my interest while it had its stupid parts I think Moore did a good job. Although it was one sided, he did put a little bit of the "other" opinions. But I guess that was the point. I wonder what would happen if there would be a documentary almost a total opposite to this, that would be interesting to watch.

and no, I did not talk about oil.

Wish List for the Summer. Ugh...

Hmm... so I was looking at stuff I "needed" to buy over the summer. IE, I need to upgrade my computer, since I haven't since Junior year of HS, and now I am a junior in college. And I need an acoustic/electric guitar, so I found one by rogue *COUGH* lol, I know they arn't a great company but I read a few reviews, and it doesn't sound to bad. Rogue Herringbone Dreadnought Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar Natural So $129.99 not bad at all considering it has fishman classic 4 pre-amp in it and its mahogany.

Emily and I have banged the shit out of the cymbals on my drum set so... Pulse 357 4-Piece Cymbal Pack $89.99 but this means I need to buy a stand: Pacific Drums by DW CB800 Boom Cymbal Stand for $40.

Last but not least, I my stupid cheap effects petal is shot(Behringer X V-AMP Floor Unit)... so I need to buy a GOOD one... my choice is a little expensive, but GOOD: Boss GT-8 Guitar Effects Processor $445. BOSS you rule.

Oh yea, and I was thinking of selling all of my guitars and buying a nice guitar :-). Hitting the wall...

I have hit a design wall. Nothing seems to be inspiring latley, maybe I have been doing to much design. I opened photoshop 8 times in 15min to do nothing in it but resize white canvas. I guess I need to get away from it all for a little bit.

Moravian College Publications. Yes, I am a tool

Welp, here it is everyone, the Profile of me for the new Moravian College view book. lol...

"Ted Colegrove planned on majoring in computer science, so he was drawn to Moravian’s computer facilities and small classes. Today, however, he spends most of his time in the art department as a sophomore graphic design major. Everything changed last summer, when he started getting into website design, even forming a business, SirenDT, with friends. And in design, he found his greatest talent. Next semester, he’ll be co-chair of Studio South, the student-run professional graphic design studio on campus—which means lots of design projects for real clients.

While design is his passion, music is his escape. He plays lead guitar for a band. He plays trumpet in Moravian’s Big Band. He sings in the College Choir and an a cappella group called Vocalis. He’s a DJ for various campus events. In addition, he’s active with the Multicultural Club and the Christian Fellowship.

Busy Day

So I went to a Phillies game with the "College-Age Moravians" (ages 18-25 I think)
It was a lot of fun, the ride was long though, and for some reason it took 4 hours to get back. oh well.

Afterwards I went to Jon's graduation party.

I am drowning in Design

Hmm, well I am the summer contact for StudioStouth. Which means I get the e-mails and the calls from faculty members for jobs. Currently the Bethlehem Garden Club needs a banner, so I have to call them and do a 3' x 4' Banner by next tuesday. Also The Blue Closet now has a layout, but I need information and content for thier site. So that needs to be finished, on top of this Don Cunningham's campaign officer is calling me tommorrow to work out plans for his site.

I hope I am not taking too big of a bite out of things. :-\ well, we'll see what comes out of this. Fortunatly it pays well :-D haha...

Blockbuster!

I joined Blockbust Online. (to get a free iPod shuffle) So if anyone hasn't seen a movie thats out, and wants to, TELL ME cause I can have 3 out at once, up to unlimited amount per month and 2 in-store game/movie rentals a month. So... bored? tell me and we can watch a movie. I'm getting my suround sound reciever fixed so then we can watch it in 650W of Dolby Digtal Suround... oooooooo...ahhhh... lol.

While I find summer quite in inticing, I sometimes get descouraged with the working part of it. Although I know I need the money, I don't have as much motivation to work at CIT this year. I have been sitting at the desk for the past 2 days, frankly doing nothing. Which I guess you can't complain that I AM being paid to do nothing, but I would rather be paid to do something. I hope it gets busy, because I am bored out of my mind sometimes, and that just makes me fall asleep. The job isn't as fun now that Matty and Christine arn't here to goof around with. I think I just need a change of pace, a change of scenery, anyone want to go somewhere for a weekend? Anywhere, I'll pay for gas.
